In the third installment of the Savannah Secrets series, Meredith Bellefontaine inherits her ancestor’s (Anna Coles) diary and writing desk. Anna Coles is one of a group of people who moved from England to Savannah when Georgia was a colony. Meredith secures the items in her study, but when she wakes up the following morning, the diary has been stolen. As a result, she and her business partner, Julia Foley, investigate and figure out who stole the diary.
I really enjoyed this installment. The case was interesting, especially the connection that is raised between the diary and pirate treasure, including Blackbeard. Personally, Meredith’s relationship with lawyer Quinn develops a little bit. And Meredith’s younger son, Chase, is featured more in this installment. He strikes up a friendship with Julia and Meredith’s secretary, Carmen. I predict that relationship will grow to a romantic one.
